2 Weeks until Mobilization!
The next two weeks (12 1/2 days actually) will be packed with to do lists, packing, details and hard goodbye’s. Before I get into that, I wanted to share these lyrics from Bethel Music,
“All my life you have been faithful,
All my life you have been so, so good,
with every breath that I am able,
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God.”
This reminder keeps pushing me forward. Even in the hard things, God is still good and God is still faithful.
Monthly Ministry Partnership
I am excited to announce that I only have 5% of my monthly support goal left!
That means that I need $220/month to cross that finish line. Every contribution helps towards this goal, so I ask that if you are not partnering monthly that you would consider joining my monthly team. If you are giving, would you consider giving a little bit more to help me cross that finish line?

My House is Almost Rented
Last night I met with my realtor to discuss three potential renters for my house - all who have agreed to rent it for 2-3 years. While each family had some drawbacks, I am confident in my realtor and her team that they will select the best family for this house. Then, next Monday, I will meet with my realtor, property manager and the selected family to sign all documents and meet the people who will occupy my home for the next 2-3 years.
Would you join me in praying for the family that is selected? Pray that this house would become their home - a place of security and refuge where they can make memories and that they would take care of this house like it was their own.
Packing, Packing and More Packing
Since January, I have been whittling down everything that I own in preparations for this big move. I have packed things up to store, I have packed things up to take with me to Nicaragua and I will be packing things up to take with me to Fort Wayne, IN for my parents ‘new’ home.
Yesterday, Dan helped me move some of my larger furniture pieces into storage with the use of his truck. I am thankful for a friend who gave up his time to help and thankful for a dad who taught me how to pack things well (like a game of Tetris in real life). I have one more big push today to get everything out of my kitchen cabinets and sift through the accumulation.
Pray that I can focus and not get overwhelmed by the task at hand.
Hard Goodbye’s
That time has come.
The time that I have been dreading the most.
Saying Goodbye.
For those of you that know me well, I wear my emotions on my sleeve. At MTI we were taught that hard goodbye’s are in fact a good thing. It shows that you have loved and cared for the people around you. That you invested in a relationship and desire to see it continued despite a physical distance.
Although it will be hard to say goodbye to family and friends, one of my harder goodbye’s will be to my dog, Sebastian. Unfortunately after extensive research on how to get him down to Nicaragua, I found that it would be in his best interest for him to stay here in the USA. For those of you who are animal lovers, you know how hard it is to part with a pet. Sebastian will turn 10 this November, and I have had him since he was 6 months old. He has been a steady companion, accompanying me through some of my greatest life changes. While I know it will be hard to say goodbye, I see God’s goodness and provision.
My parents retire to the USA this Thursday, and are taking Sebastian as their dog. This means that he will have a steady home and will stay with family.
Would you pray for me that in my goodbye I would be able to convey the care and love for my family and friends? Pray that although distance may separate my relationships, that they would not fall away but would be kept for a lifetime.
As always, I would love to hear from you and your prayer requests. You can find my contact information below.
Love,
Micah
